EK Launches a New Quantum X570 Monoblock for the ROG STRIX X570-E
These two parts are mated with a flexible rubber gasket in between and are pressure tested to ensure they will be leak-free.
The channel design of the block itself follows what EK called a "high-flow" design principle, which essentially means that the channels are nice and wide to prevent them from restricting fluid flow. Only the part covering the CPU has more restrictive channels, but even those are optimized: rather than the fluid going in on one side and traveling over the entire CPU, the fluid is channeled in from above the CPU.
Afterwards, it's spread towards the left and right. Each block comes with a mounting mechanism, thermal paste for the CPU, thermal pads for putting over the VRM circuitry and a backplate for easy installation. The X chipset builds upon the X chipset from last year and offers great performance for gamers and enthusiasts. The X chipset is also quite power-hungry due to the increased bandwidth of PCIe Gen4 and hence requires an active cooling fan in most cases to keep thermals under check.
The following 10 best X motherboards offer a great feature set, improved connectivity, and better aesthetics than their last-gen offerings. These include a 2. You also get the latest Intel Wi-Fi 6 There is also an additional heat pipe that goes all the way from the VRMs to the chipset for added heat dissipation.
The X marks the arrival of USB 3. This board is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who wish to extract the maximum performance from the new Ryzen CPUs. One thing to note is that the board does not offer any video out so those wishing to use Ryzen APUs with integrated Vega graphics should look elsewhere.
The Asus Prime XP makes for a great entry-level solution to the AMD X platform and offers most functions needed to get up and running for both gamers and content creators alike. The design of the board is very simple and you will not find any flashy RGB in any area except for the chipset.
However, there are enough RGB headers if you want to jazz up your case. One omission with the Prime XP is that there is no heatsink over the M. However, you do get a couple of USB 3. The Crosshair boards have always stood for enthusiast builds and this year, the Formula takes things up a notch higher.
A single PCIe Gen4 x1 slot is also present for add-on cards such as an extra sound card or a broadcasting card. The back is reinforced with a metal backplate for added strength. Additionally, you also get Intel AX Plenty of USB Type-A and Type-C ports are available at the back and for those who need more, there are enough headers on the board for front panel Gen1 and Gen2 connectors. The board sports a gamery look with the characteristic red and black accents. You also get 8-pin and 4-pin CPU power supplies.
The back panel has a fair selection of ports for the price. Another good addition is the Realtek ALCS audio codec that is usually found only in more premium boards. Gamers might find the absence of RGB on the board a turn-off but there are enough headers for you to use your own RGB strips.
For the price though, you can a very good feature set that can complement the new Ryzen CPUs very well. Gigabyte has some very interesting offerings for the AMD X platform and the X Aorus Ultra is definitely one of the more exciting boards on offer. Additionally, you also get two PCIe Gen4 x1 slots as well. The rear panel has all the standard ports one expects from a top-end X motherboard including two USB 3. Overall, the Gigabyte X Aorus Ultra is a nicely built board that perfectly compliments the new Ryzen platform.
The Taichi sports good aesthetics and is characterized by the cogs on the chipset. The chipset is actively cooled and there is a heatsink armor in the PCIe slot area as well. The CPU power is fed by a phase Dr.The Republic of Gamers was founded way back inwhich is a long time ago in computing years.
Using top-notch components and cutting-edge designs capable of hitting the highest speeds, ROG engineers create motherboards that exude quality and craftsmanship while pushing the boundaries of desktop computing. The Formula is the flagship of the X fleet, primed to be fitted into premium systems with custom liquid-cooling loops and push Ryzen to its limits.
It would look fantastic just displayed on a wall, let alone in a high-end build. The block is tapped for standard fittings to ease its installation into an existing loop, and it sits atop one of our biggest VRMs to date.
The 16 PowIRstages are accompanied by MicroFine Alloy chokes, with each stage capable of delivering a whopping 60 amps. Naturally, you can also roll your own custom graphics or display text. A trio of dual-mode chassis fan headers stand ready, should extra cooling become necessary.
Additionally, the Node connector lets attached components communicate their own readings and take control of board features.

Networking aficionados will find the Formula fulfills their needs and then some. The SupremeFX S codec and its associated circuitry offer audiophile-grade audio reproduction. As befits the top model in the lineup, the Formula is reinforced by a metal backplate and SafeSlot treatment for its main PCIe x16 slots.
The chipset is covered by an expansive heatsink, while the dual M. These headers can autodetect the characteristics of connected devices, allowing software to easily tweak effects to match. The Formula also comes with a particularly generous allotment of USB ports: 12 at the back panel, and another 9 available through internal headers, including Type-C connectors.
You can ditch your USB hub now. Pricing and release date will be announced soon, so stay tuned. The VRM heatsink has a massive surface area for better heat distribution. The chipset is covered by a large heatsink, and the two onboard M. You can assemble a similarly overpowered rig with the Hero as you can with the Formula, including two-way SLI and three-way CrossFireX setups set to take advantage of the extra bandwidth afforded by graphics cards with PCIe 4.
Cooling arrangements can take advantage of plenty of hybrid fan headers, plus connectors for AIO pumps or custom loop pumps. Expect more information on pricing and release date in short order.
The memory controllers inside modern CPUs are complicated, and trying to use four DIMMs in a board at maximum speeds can be challenging. The unusual dimensions were deliberately chosen to take advantage of unused space in Mini-ITX cases designed to support two-slot graphics cards mounted directly to the motherboard.
Each stage is capable of pushing 70A to better feed power to high-end CPUs. To cool the VRM effectively as you turn the MHz up higher, the Impact uses a heatsink with an integrated fan ready to blow a breeze through the fins. A heatpipe connects the VRM sink to a full-size aluminum backplate, spreading out heat quickly and evenly, compensating for limited airflow in smaller chassis.
Along with the standard CPU fan connector, the Impact comes with dedicated headers for a pump and two radiator fans, along with headers for monitoring coolant flow and temperature. There are still plenty of PCIe 4. The board even has room integrated Aura Sync lighting along with a standard RGB strip header and two Gen 2 addressable strip headers.
Since surface area is at a premium in this form factor, we create more of our own. The dual M. Pricing and release date will be announced closer to general availability. One of the major downsides of AMD's X platform is the fact that most X motherboards ship with active cooling on their PCH heatsink, a feature that's unnecessary on most other modern motherboard designs.
While this chipset fan should be running at low RPMs, or turned off, in most situations, the fan remains as a source of unwanted noise within many X systems, so much so that some modders have designed their own replacement heatsinks. With their new Aorus X chipset water block, EK promises superior thermal performance, enhanced longevity as it contains no moving partsand can be installed with five screws.
This PCH heatsink is an overkill solution to the noise problems that X's chipset fans may cause, but when it comes to silence, we know that many PC builders would be more than happy with an extravagant solution to their chipset problems. Like EK's other products, their Aorus X chipset water block is made with nickel-plated copper and features a glass-like acrylic top.

Lol I thought they said 40 euro then Name Email. This has been seen on numerous iterations of its Maximus Formula boards created for Intel chipsets. This marks a shifting tide where ASUS seem to have confidence in AMD and the ability of its 7nm Ryzen processors, by opting for such a premium model for the X chipset. One of the main focal points of the X chipset is its native PCIe 4. For add-on cards, a single PCIe 4.
On the rear of the board is a metal backplate which adds reinforcement to keep the board's structure intact. On the componentry, the Crosshair VIII Formula uses a premium controller set with the most notable inclusions coming on the networking side. On the rear panel is a wide array of connections including seven USB 3. Users can add to this with one USB 3.
